Preparing for your appointment

  • Be sure to get a good nights rest before your appointment.

  • Do not drink any alcohol within 24 hours before your appointment.

  • Drink plenty of water and moisturize! Taking care of your skin and staying hydrated is extremely important.

  • Wear something comfortable that easily allows access to the area we’re working on, and maybe a sweatshirt incase you get chilly. Due to allergies of others, please don’t wear any perfumes.

  • Bring water or any other non-alcoholic beverage, headphones if you’d like to listen to your own music, any snacks you may need. Please do not bring any animal products into the studio.

  • Please bring cash to pay your remaining balance!

basic mandatory aftercare

  • Keep your tattoo wrapped overnight. Remove the bandage the following morning with clean hands. Hand wash your tattoo with warm water and liquid soap for 30 seconds, rinse with cold for an additional 30 seconds. Continue to wash your tattoo for 3 times a day until it is healed.

  • You can start to moisturize your tattoo around the 3rd day. Apply a thin layer of plain unscented lotion or cocoa butter 3 times a day and wash before application. Please do not use any ointments on your tattoo.

  • Do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate your tattoos while they are healing. Do not submerge your tattoo in water (swimming, baths, etc) while it is healing. SPF is recommended to protect your tattoos over time.

*Optional methods for keeping your tattoo wrapped during the healing process*

REWRAP METHOD: Follow the instructions above. After washing your tattoo the following morning, dry, and wrap with plastic wrap. Wash your tattoo and re-wrap before bed and in the morning for 3 days. Continue basic aftercare.

TEGADERM METHOD: Tegaderm may be purchased online from companies like Saniderm, DermShield, and Second Skin. It is recommended to apply the bandage AFTER removing the the initial bandage 24 hours after receiving the tattoo. Wash your tattoo and make sure it is completely dry before applying tegaderm. Tegaderm may be removed and reapplied after 48 hours of initial wear. You may keep the second tegaderm bandage on for up to 4 days. Make sure to always wash after removal. If tegaderm fills with fluid, DO NOT puncture or drain your bandage.
